The ODYSSEUS project kick-off meeting was held in Bucharest, Romania, on January 26 and 27, 2023. The primary aim of the meeting was to introduce the core concepts of the project to all consortium members. Prominent leaders from 12 countries all over Europe and UK, gathered to meet each other and exchange useful information on several key points and activities of the project as well as the work packages.
During the first day, the team delved into the project’s work packages, where the tasks and timelines were discussed in detail. The second day of the meeting was dedicated to the ODYSSEUS Project Management plan and the major Dissemination and Communication future activities. The coordinator gave an overview of the project, explaining its main objectives and expected outcomes. A dedicated reference to the technological breakthroughs that have to be accomplished during the course of the project was also made to provide detailed descriptions of the solutions ODYSSEUS offers.
Partners had a chance to connect and get involved in open discussions centered around the primary objective of the project which is to improve border crossing experience for travelers and border authorities’ staff, the security of EU land and water borders, while maintaining security and monitoring of movements across land and water EU external borders.
The kick-off meeting was a promising start for the ODYSSEUS project, and the consortium partners left Bucharest with a sense of optimism and excitement. The meeting paved the way for the project’s successful implementation, and the consortium members are looking forward to the upcoming phases.
