On April 16th, 2025, the ODYSSEUS project participated in the I-SEAMORE-organised webinar titled “AI Operations in Border Management”. The event drew 96 attendees, including representatives from EU institutions, agencies, and cutting-edge research initiatives. Its aim was to spotlight how artificial intelligence is transforming modern border operations – through automation, data fusion, and novel verification methods.
Niklas Palaghias, CEO of Quadible, introduced ODYSSEUS’s behavioral AI solution for seamless identity verification at borders. ODYSSEUS leverages continuous behavioural biometrics – such as typing and swiping patterns – to verify user legitimacy, aiming for a frictionless and secure border-crossing experience.
Alongside ODYSSEUS, fellow EU-funded projects I-SEAMORE, BAG-INTEL, and METEOR also presented their AI-driven tools, creating an inspiring showcase of innovation at the intersection of security and technology.
The event reinforced the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange across European initiatives working toward smarter, safer borders.
