This week marks a major milestone for the ODYSSEUS Project, as the first implementation phase begins. The innovative technologies developed as part of the project will be tested in real-world conditions in Ungheni and Albita, Romania.
During a kickoff meeting held in Iași, Romania, project partners came together to finalise preparations for the pilot programme. Key outcomes of the meeting included:
- Reviewing the implementation phase strategy to align with project objectives.
- Setting clear goals and activities.
- Defining KPIs to measure progress and success.
- Establishing a detailed schedule for the pilots.
- Clarifying roles and responsibilities for all partners involved.
This pilot activity brings together a diverse group of partners, each playing a critical role in its implementation: UIC, TELESTO, The Romanian Border Police (RBP), The Chief Directorate Border Police of Bulgaria (CDBP), SIMAVI, The General Inspectorate of Border Police of Moldova (IGPF MAI), THALES, and Acceligence Ltd.. Their combined expertise ensures a collaborative and impactful approach to achieving the project’s objectives.
The pilot programmes will test and validate the technologies, gather essential performance data, and provide insights for further development.
Stay tuned for updates as we progress through this critical phase.
